My Heart is a Flutter!

Someone got a very special surprise this morning when she opened her laptop to check on her favourite friends.

Oh my!  Peggy Sue gasps.... Angelo has dedicated a post to me!  It was a poem about a man and his doll, and was ever so sweet, but also a bit sad too, but so meaningful.

My heart feels all a flutter Owen.  She tells Little Owen.

It is going a pitterty pat, pitterty pat.  Just like that!  She explains.

No one has ever called me pretty before!  She gazes into the distance...

I must write to him and tell him how thoughtful and kind he is.

Or perhaps I should type him a letter to post in the real mail?

Oh, oh, I don't know what to do!

My heart really does feel all a fluttery.

Eventually Peggy Sue settles down to type Angelo a little thank you note for brightening her day.

  1. I can't believe no one ever told you before that you're pretty, Peggy Sue! I can remember most clearly at least once saying you look pretty in your new dress... But it was very sweet of Angelo to say it in his blog post.
Maybe someone is going to sneak in when Henry flies to New Zealand the next time? And then trying to hitch hike to Angelo? (Hope I didn't give her ideas.)

    1. Oh yes, that is so true Miss Ursula, I am sorry I forgot you saying that...sometimes we remember the hurtful things instead of the nice things! But, blushing a wee bit here, I have never had a boy tell me that before...

I do hope to go to NZ with Henry again - I went last year it was such fun. Trouble is Angelo lives at the other end of the country!

  2. Peggy Sue, to have a blog post dedicated to you, and to have a boy proclaim to all the world that you are pretty...that is a precious gift :-) He says what all of us who know you know to be true.

    warmly,

    Beth

I really like the typewriter! Is this a set from American Girl?

  6. Peggy Sue & Mum: My Papa is so embarrassed - he somehow missed this posting and so we didn't know about it. I had to get very firm with him to be more careful in the future. I would have been so disappointed to have missed reading this. Thankfully, you Mum pointed it out on her most recent post and then we scrolled through all the postings until we found this. I meant it when I said you are the loveliest doll in the world! Next time you come to NZ, perhaps we can visit. We on the South Island don't consider the North Island to be a part of NZ so I'll have to get my passport in order to cross the Cook Strait to visit you! You dear friend, Angelo (and his hapless Papa)

    1. That is okay Angelo, we understand, it is so easy to miss things, especially with the changes blogger has made. I am in New Zealand in a month and three days!!! Getting excited. Wow that would be amazing if you could come and visit us somehow. I will get Mum to write to your Papa to see if there is something that could be worked out.

      Peggy Sue xx
