New Zealand Maori Dolls

I have a collection of Maori dolls which started with two I inherited from my Grandmother quite a few years ago now.  She would have bought them when her and my Pop were visiting us, probably in the early seventies.

One is on a stand the other is a hard plastic and they are on the far right of the above picture.

She has a lovely face.  Her name is Kiri.

I didn't realise she was quite so dusty!  Oops!  (These photos were taken a few years ago and they have since been dusted and cleaned!)

This young lady has sleep eyes and her name is Ngaire

I am not quite sure whether this little cutie is a boy or a girl.

Usually you can tell by their costume, but I'm not quite certain for this one...

Next up is my tallest Maori girl...

Her name is Aroha

This slightly smaller girl is Mere

Next we have the family related to the Moana family who have  'emigrated' to Hittyville.

From left to right Tama, Tane, little Timoti,  Rangi and baby Rere

Lastly we have Wairaki.

    1. I just have three now, a while ago I decided to sell a lot of them. So I kept the two that used to belong to my grandparents, and I have one unopened in a box.
